9″x 12″ Original Oil on Canvas
Sunrise at Monarch Dunes driving range in November. Sometimes, just before sunrise, it looks like sunset. I’m satisfied with how this one turned out.
Painting clouds is like sculpting with color and value. It’s a balance of not too much and not too little. The organic abstract shapes and lines provide structure. The more I paint, the better I understand the subtle differences.
It feels like eagles are soaring into the sky! This reminds me of the verse:
”but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” - Isaiah 40:31
