9″x 12″ Original Oil on Canvas
The color of the sky is so diverse and ever-changing. One afternoon, the sky was painted in pink. How did that blue sky become such a pink? Even my heart is tinted pink as I look at it. This is the first time I’ve painted a pink sky. As I transfer the pink that colored my heart onto the canvas, I feel a sense of relief. The shy, subtle pink is so lovely.
Artist Jim Dine (American, born 1935) says that he tries to make art from his heart to his hand.
I feel the same way.
