Temperature of the Heart, Pismo Beach
A fiery sun is sinking into the sea, dyeing the ocean a deep crimson as the sunset descends. The blazing red light, like a furnace, refuses to subside. As time passes and the red sun sinks deeper into the sea, the crimson hue becomes even deeper and richer. As I stare, my heart is completely dyed with the same red. It’s as if my heart is burning with the same intense heat. Oh, heart, heart, I wish you would cool down a bit... How deep must the ocean be, and how deep must the abyss of my heart be for the red light to become so intense and hot? I so desperately want to paint this image, but I wonder what additional value my painting could add. This photo is already perfect as it is... Do I really need to paint it?
Is this heart filled with passion, desire, obsession, or longing? Where does it lie?
